"Westfield San Francisco Centre hosted live acoustical performances by Bay Area musicians under the Dome. Naje performed at our kick off weekend on May 26th and brought to life the Dome with her amazing jazz vocals.
Naje sounded amazing and her powerful voice projected throughout the Centre bringing people out of the stores to come see her perform. The manager at Bose even came out and said for a sound expert he thought she sounded incredible.
Her band had so much talent and accompanied her really well. She was a perfect person to have at our Concert Series and I would have her come back many many times."
“Not only does NaJe always deliver a compelling and charismatic show with her unique vocal sound, but she consistently fills the room with her loyal following. First we kicked off our Local Talent Series, and NaJe led the way in making it a success. When we decided to launch our Yoshi’s Jazz Supper Club, we knew that NaJe was the artist we wanted to feature in our opening month. It was every bit as successful as we had hoped and more.”
“Velvet, smooth songs! ”
"NaJe is a truly talented and captivating singer who transports the listener to another time and place with her soulful and elegant voice. My husband and I saw her at Yoshi's SF on Thursday night and her music was so romantic and special for us, that we went back to see her show every Thursday. It was magical, like our wedding anniversary and our first date. We especially like when NaJe sings Caravan. NaJe's music and songs radiate with sparkle and depth for the audience. Her shows are always joyous occasions."
"I've been lucky enough to see NaJe perform at some premiere SF venues including Yoshis, GAMH, and 1300 Fillmore. She has created a unique, and yes, timeless voice from a treasure trove of american Jazz standards. She also draws from Brazillian and other World Jazz influences which, coupled with her own songwriting, all intertwine into a rich sensory experience that transports you to a different place and time.
Her band is extraordinarily talented and blends so nicely with her elegant, sophisicated, and sultry presence. Oh, and did I mention her voice??
It's a little hard to describe, I'd really recommend you go check out NaJe for yourself with a few friends. It's a great evening which will keep you coming back - as it did for me!"
"NaJe is the best new voice that we have seen in over a decade. Her recent CD is amongst my best recent purchase. I was so captivated by her singing that I took my whole company to see her - twice - at Yoshi's. Think about a happier, sultrier, and more contemporary version of Sade and with bundles of personality. She does inspire comparisons with Ella or Billie .... She exudes a lot of charisma on stage. Hope you get a chance to go and see her ...."
"Naje “wails the blues, dabbles in old-school R&B, and hammers out light, airy pop mixed with her strong vocals.”
